Inspecting Recent Followers
The Recent Followers tool lets you examine the newest followers of any audited account. This is crucial for identifying ongoing bot activity or purchased followers.
Key Features
- Follower Profiles — View profile pictures, usernames, and full names of recent followers.
- Account Status — See if followers are private, public, or verified.
- Pattern Detection — Spot common bot patterns like random usernames, no profile pictures, or newly created accounts.
Red Flags to Watch For
Look for these warning signs among recent followers:
- Accounts with no profile picture
- Usernames with random numbers (e.g., user38291847)
- Private accounts with zero posts
- Accounts following thousands but with few followers
Using This Data
Cross-reference the recent followers data with the main audit's bot score. If you see a surge of suspicious followers, it likely indicates recent follower purchasing activity.
